Just as our bodies need to be nourished, our spirits need sustenance, too. Unitarian Universalists find spiritual sustenance in the quiet of our hearts, in the voices of the human community, in the work of justice, and in connection with the Earth. We learn together, comfort each other, challenge our own “well-trodden paths,” and explore new territory of the heart and mind as we struggle against the human tendency towards separation and individualism.
Sunday is the main opportunity for our members to gather together, affirm our connections, and share the search for meaning and purpose. We’ve stayed connected during the pandemic through virtual and outdoor gatherings and have had periods when the Athens area COVID risk was low enough to have limited in-person attendance in the sanctuary on Sunday morning.
