Fall Exhibit Opening

Join us in the Clements Gallery for the opening reception of “Enhanced Paintings from Photos” on October 3rd at 5:00-6:30 pm. Artist Lori Hammer, formerly a Reading Specialist in the Oconee County School System where she taught 4th and 5th grades, has attended many watercolor workshops led by well-known artists, the most recent one being taught by Dylan Scott Pierce at the Booth Western Museum of Art in Cartersville, GA.

Periodically, the Food Justice Team prepares a meal for and serves a meal at the Bigger Vision Community Shelter of Athens.  You are invited to join in the meal prep, done at UUFA, or the meal serving.

Hospitality!

Our Whole Lives (OWL)

We are currently registering Kindergartener and 1st graders for our Fall OWL K-1 class. in the Fall. Our Whole Lives is a series of sexuality education curricula, covering ages K-1 through adult. 

The Food Justice Team Is Initiating Food Waste Collection 

What food scraps are acceptable? Anything that was once alive–paper, greasy pizza boxes, cheese, meat, bones, veggie, and fruit scraps. Click through to learn how members and friends may drop off compost at UUFA.

Community Health

For now at UUFA, masks are optional, but please consider wearing one if you are having symptoms of viral illness or have had a close, known exposure. You may pick up a mask from a basket at the Welcome desk at any time. Click through for more info, including where to test for free.
