8th Annual Athens Martin Luther King Jr. Parade & Music Festival

The Athens MLK JR. Day Parade and Music Festival 2024 celebrates the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and promotes culture, equity, and diversity in Downtown Athens. This event includes live performances, vendors, a fun kids zone, and more.

Festivities begin at noon on the corner of Hull and Washington Street with live performances. Local schools, businesses, nonprofits, churches, dance teams, mobile vehicles, and various organizations will participate in this event.

Please come out to represent UUFA in the parade or cheer from along the route.  The parade begins at 3 p.m. at the corner of Hull and Washington Streets. UUFA will host all who wish to walk in the parade. Please sign up here, so we will know how many groups to host! Wear your UUA or UUFA t-shirts! (Contact justice@uuathensga.org if you need more information about UUFA’s participation in the event.)

Sponsored by UUFA Justice Partner Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement (AADM), Athens Downtown Development Authority, and United Group of Artists ENT.
