Participants may be encouraged to share their beliefs during a future Sunday service. Please contact Vivian Sellers at firstname.lastname@example.org or Rev. Alison at email@example.com to register or with questions.
Faith Like a River—beginning October 6, the first and third Thursday nights of the month. Michelle Leebens-Mack will facilitate and contact participants.
Faith Like a River explores the dynamic course of Unitarian, Universalist, and Unitarian Universalist (UU) history—the people, ideas, and movements that have shaped our faith heritage. It invites participants to place themselves into our history and consider its legacies. What lessons do the stories of our history teach that can help us live more faithfully in the present? What lessons do they offer to be lived into the future? Please contact Vivian Sellers at firstname.lastname@example.org or Michelle Leebens-Mack at email@example.com
Wi$dom Path—led by Todd Dinkelman and Vivian Preston Sellers–the three-session version
Some of the people at the UUA believe that “Unitarian Universalist individuals and congregations are longing for structured opportunities to talk about money and the way it intersects with our spiritual and ethical values… Their hope was that such a program would free congregations, families, and individuals to speak openly about a subject that is often fraught with unstated presumptions and unacknowledged tensions and would allow the creation of spiritually healthy approaches to money, generosity, economic justice, investment, and stewardship.” (UUA Website/Wi$dom Path) We’ll do 3 sessions of this curriculum, focused on talking about money, the meaning of money, and faithful giving, in order to start a conversation before beginning the Capital Campaign; the first session will be September 27th, with 2 additional sessions on Tuesday, October 25th, and Monday, November 14th. Please contact Vivian Sellers at firstname.lastname@example.org to register or with questions.
