Music Notes: Building a New Way

This hymn from our teal hymnal reminds me of this time of year.

This is the time when many of us examine our lives and maybe decide to make a few changes.  Will we eat better? exercise more? donate time and talent?

It’s also a time to be open to new possibilities.  What will this year bring?

Make space in your life for music this year.  Maybe you’ve thought about drumming or singing, but couldn’t find the time or were afraid to take the first step.

Let me know what you are interested in doing, and I can help.

Our drum circle, Palms of Fire, meets every Wednesday, 5:30-6:30, starting Jan. 4th.  We have extra drums, and no experience is required.

Choir also starts back on the 4th, 7:15-8:45.  You do not need to read music, but you need to commit to singing on Sunday morning, either at the 9am or the 11am service.

Connect with what brings you joy this year!  Grow your love of music.

As the lyrics of Building a New Way teach us, “We can feed our every need. Start with love, that is the seed.” –Amber Fetner, musicdirector@uuathensga.org
