Religious language can be both a curse and a blessing. Which is it for you?
Join Rev. Alison on the 3rd Thursday of the month, at 10 am, from September through May, to explore the various meaning and impact of words used in religious or spiritual contexts. We’ll explore words such as faith, worship, sin, grace, prayer, and more, to discover what emotional, intellectual, or spiritual value they may have (or not have) for diverse Unitarian Universalists.
Brief readings will be assigned for each session, primarily taken from Fluent in Faith, by Jeanne Nieuwejaar, published by the UUA’s Skinner House Books.
To express your interest in participating or to ask questions, please contact Rev. Alison.
