UUFA’s Palms of Fire, Nov. 13, African Perspectives Event

The Fellowship’s very own drummers will add their talent on the drums to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of WUGA’s longest-running local program, African Perspectives.

WHEN: Monday, November 13

TIME: Live show and taping from 7-8:30 pm; African Dance Party from 8:30-9:30; Palms of Fire perform about 7:30 pm.

Akinloye Ojo will host a special production of the program, which will be broadcast at a later date. Dance to the African rhythms, with guest performances by UGA African Students Union dancers, the African Fellowship of the Church of Nations choir, and Unitarian Universalist Palms of Fire drumming group.

Continue dancing after the show for a $100 prize dance contest with three judges using a wild card song. The free show is to celebrate the longest running local program on WUGA with donations made in cash or by check to Chess and Community and to Kenyan Girls’ Educational Fund, Inc.
