This pilgrimage features a 10-day walk over the rolling hills and pastoral river valleys of Central Transylvania, into Unitarian towns and villages. An unforgettable trek, led by a UU Partner Church Council guide with over 2 decades of experience facilitating UU visits to Transylvania, as well as a seminary professor, and other facilitators. Evening programs include lectures, discussions, worship, and meditation. The walk culminates in a climb to the mountain-top fortress above Deva for an evening vespers service outside the prison cell where Francis David, the 1st Bishop of the Unitarian Church, was martyred.
Designed for UU seminarians, but open to all. Academic credit available (details TBA).
